Privacy Policy
for WA Client Pro: Where WhatsApp™ Meets Professional CRM
Effective Date: June 30, 2025
1. Introduction
Welcome to WA Client Pro (“the Extension,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We are committed to protecting the data you entrust to us. This Privacy Policy outlines our practices concerning the collection, use, and protection of your information. By installing and using our Extension, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.
2. Information We Collect and Why
WA Client Pro is designed to function as a client-side application. This means that your data primarily resides in your browser and your Google Account. We do not store your Google Contacts or Calendar events on our servers.
2.1. Information Accessed with Your Explicit Permission (Google Data)
To provide our core features, we require you to authenticate your Google Account and grant specific permissions via the secure Google OAuth 2.0 protocol. The permissions requested are:
- Google User Information (`https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.profile`, `https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email`):
- Data Accessed: Your name, email address, and profile picture.
- Purpose: To identify you as the user, personalize your experience, and manage your session within the Extension.
- Google Contacts Access (`https://www.googleapis.com/auth/contacts`):
- Data Accessed: Read and write access to your Google Contacts.
- Purpose: This is essential for our feature that allows you to save a contact directly from a WhatsApp Web chat to your Google Contacts. We do not read, store, or analyze your existing contacts for any other purpose. The action is initiated entirely by you.
- Google Calendar Access (`https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar`, `https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events`):
- Data Accessed: Read and write access to your calendars and events.
- Purpose: To enable you to schedule meetings and add events to your Google Calendar directly from the Extension's interface within WhatsApp Web. We only access your calendar to create or modify events that you explicitly schedule.
2.2. Session and Usage Data
We may collect technical data related to your use of the Extension, such as feature usage frequency and session management information (e.g., login and logout events). This data is anonymized wherever possible and is used solely for the purpose of improving our service, identifying bugs, and enhancing system stability.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To Provide Core Functionality: To enable the seamless integration between WhatsApp Web, Google Contacts, and Google Calendar as described above.
- To Maintain Your Session: To keep you logged in and to automatically log you out for security when your WhatsApp Web session ends.
- To Provide Customer Support: To assist you with any inquiries or technical issues you may encounter.
- To Improve Our Service: To understand how our users interact with the Extension, allowing us to enhance features and user experience.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information with any third parties for marketing purposes.
Our extension is designed so that we, the developers, do not see, copy, or store your personal Google data (Contacts and Calendar events). Therefore, we have no personal user data from the extension's core functionality to share or disclose.
Your information is only transmitted in the following limited circumstances:
- With Google: To execute the functions you initiate. For example, when you save a contact, the data is sent directly from your browser to Google's API to be stored in your Google Account. We do not act as an intermediary that logs this data.
- For Legal Reasons: In the event we are required by law to comply with a valid legal process, our disclosure would be strictly limited to the information we might possess. This could include data you have voluntarily provided to us through direct contact (e.g., a support email). We cannot and will not disclose your Google Contacts or Calendar data as we never have access to it.
5. Data Security
We employ robust, industry-standard security measures to protect your data. All communication with Google APIs is encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS). Authentication is handled via Google's secure OAuth 2.0 protocol, meaning we never see or store your Google password.
6. Data Retention and Deletion Policy
This section clearly outlines our policy regarding the retention and deletion of your Google user data to comply with Google API Services User Data Policy.
- Data Retention: We do not store, copy, or retain any of your Google Contacts or Google Calendar data on our servers. WA Client Pro is a client-side application that accesses your data in real-time. Any data you create or modify is stored directly in your own Google Account, and its retention is governed entirely by Google's privacy policies and your personal settings within your Google Account.
- Data Deletion: Since we do not store your Google user data on our servers, there is no data for you to request deletion from our systems. You, the user, maintain complete control over your data. If you wish to delete your data, you must do so from your own Google Account:
- You can delete any contact or event directly from your Google Contacts or Google Calendar interface.
- To completely prevent our extension from accessing your data in the future, you can revoke its access permissions at any time by visiting your Google Account security page: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.
7. Your Rights and Choices
- Revoking Access: As stated above, you can revoke the Extension's access to your Google Account at any time through your Google Account security settings page.
- Uninstalling the Extension: You can uninstall WA Client Pro at any time from your browser's extension management page. This will remove all its components from your browser and its ability to access any of your data.
- Accessing Your Data: You can access and update your contact and calendar information directly within your Google Contacts and Google Calendar.
8. Children's Privacy
Our service is not intended for individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the “Effective Date” at the top.
10. Contact Us
If you have any questions, concerns, or feedback regarding this Privacy Policy or our practices, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are committed to resolving your inquiries promptly and transparently.
